My 93 year old father was receiving inadequate care at Penn Medicine Medical Center, Plainsboro. By the 4th night he was getting progressively worse . We asked the hospital to transfer him to RWJ but we were told RWJ would not accept him. Late Saturday afternoon I began going down the page on Google for a private Ambulance Service to get him out of there. The first 3 or 4 calls I made were voicemails only. I did not leave any voicemail messages because there was no time to waste. When I dialed Apex, a live person named Graham answered. I explained my father needed to go from Penn Med to RWJ, New Brunswick. He knew right away that this was a case of Signing Out Against Medical Advice to seek better care at a different hospital. I had to be sure that his service could take my father to the Ambulance platform at RWJ rather than just dropping him off at the waiting room. He assured me his company had authority to get my dad directly inside the ER to be seen right away as a true emergency patient. By this time my father was very ill. Graham stated he would arrive at Penn Med by 7:50 pm. I called my sister at 8pm and asked if the ambulance had arrived yet. She told me they were already in the ambulance and on their way. By Sunday morning my father was comfortable, and already improving in a Step-down unit at RWJ. By late Sunday afternoon, his intestinal obstruction was cleared without the recommended major surgery Penn Med was planning for early Sunday morning. Words can not express how grateful my family and I are to Graham and Apex Ambulance Service. We were desperate and without any other transport options. We just had received excellent wheelchair transport service from this outstanding company. They arrived early, got my sister out of the house, to her appointment early and waited till her appointment was over, and safely brought us back to her home and inside her living room. Absolutely fantastic experience with the crew that came. They were positively lovely. It was a completely different experience to have these kind, professional and compassionate people transport me from my second floor apartment to my doctors office without injury. I’m not lightweight, this wasn’t easy for them. However, they were kind and professional. I’d like to not leave a great review because I want to keep them all to myself but I’m afraid I can’t. This company goes so over and above basic service that they need to be recognized! Fabulous 🙂

I dealt with Allison in Toms River. She was polite and answered all of my first time user questions. She went above and beyond explaining insurance questions etc… also aashout out to Tom who I will request to be the driver if ever needed again. Superb knowledge of his job .

My name is Richie my wife Joan is a resident at The Elms at Cranbury I had called a couple of times for transportation to and from Dialysis for my wife the driver was helpful and courteous and of course Allison who set up pick up to and from Dialysis .These two employees should be commended for the way they do their job and I thank them both .If need be in the future we will use Apex transport

I cannot sing the praises of Apex loudly enough. Our parents are wheelchair-bound and living in a skilled nursing facility in Middlesex County, so we have needed to use a few different ambulance companies in the area over the last two years. We found out this past June our Mom had a malignant tumor that would require weekly chemo and daily radiation for approx. 6 weeks. To get that done would require stretcher transport in an ambulance five days a week for varying appointment times as the treatments were scheduled. As we neared the end of the original 6-week schedule, 5 more treatments were added, and that set took almost two more weeks to get through as treatment side-effects started to show up. Apex committed to our lengthy schedule from the outset, and lived up to it fabulously including the extra dates added at the end. The office staff and the EMT teams were endlessly kind and flexible about cancellations and changes we encountered. Apex's stretchers and vehicles are well-equipped and in shape, so we had confidence there. The transports also always arrived at our parents' skilled nursing facility on time, and early enough to get Mom loaded onboard and to her appintments on time. But the EMT teams who transported Mom were the shining stars. Over the course of almost two months, I think we met them all. To a person we found them to be friendly, helpful and competent. A family member rode with Mom to her treatment each day. The crews were great with Mom, with us, with the staffs at the chemo and raditation treatment centers, and with the staff at our parents' skilled nursing facillity. We hit a number of "bumps in the road" with Mom's treament as it went on, but none of them were Apex "bumps" (the potholes on Route 18 are not their fault! 😊) When this "project" was done, it felt like we were saying good-bye to family. Given our situation, it is likely we'll need ambulance transport for our parents again (hopefully not too often). Our first call for help will always be to Apex. Thank you to everyone there for taking such good care of us!

Can’t say enough good things. Gina from dispatch was absolutely amazing. She walked me though gathering the correct information to book my mother transportation. The ambulance was right on time and the crew was so caring and kind during the entire experience. Booking medical transportation can be a high stress situation when caring for a family member but this team was compassionate and human across the entire experience. Highly recommend.

I have used Apex Ambulance numerous times for my wheelchair bound, 94 year old Mother. They are excellent! They arrive early, to make sure you get to your appointment on time. The drivers, especially Tommy and Danielle are so friendly, respectful and courteous. They truly go above and beyond in helping. I would highly recommend Apex Ambulance!

The service is wonderful, from the ladies that take your call in the office, to the drivers. Mom is 88 and she loves them.
